The FF Plus condemns racism against white people and the intimidation of journalists, especially its continuation directly after the verdict in which the court granted an interdict against Black First Land First (BLF), which prohibits its members from intimidating journalists, said Adv. Anton Alberts chairman of the FF Plus.

Adv. Alberts said many journalists mentioned that in this matter that they did not get enough protection from the police. Even after the court proceedings, journalists complained that they were not safe at that moment and wondered where the police were because the BLF had continued to shout out racist remarks at them.

The leader of the BLF, Andile Mngxitama, said to the head of SANEF, Mahlatse Gallens, that he would protect her from white people, while her organization was indeed the applicant of the interdict.

“It is clear that the BLF continues with its narrative that white people are the reason for all the problems in the country, a story created by Duduzana Zuma, President Zuma’s son, and his image-perfecting firm, Bell Pottinger.”

“Even the ANC has rejected the term at their policy conference, but there is no doubt that racist and corrupt elements in society will continue to proclaim the narrative to divert the focus from themselves.”

“The danger is that more and more people in this story, which have over and over again, proven that the facts are false, start buying into this and act accordingly. Therefore the FF Plus will also take action against the creators of the false slogans,” said Adv. Alberts.
